Some of the best high school writers from Morgan County came together to learn from  accomplished writers,
Jeff Broome and
Seth Harris. 
The day started with an ice breaker activity led by Kendra Sheets, Brush High School teacher and Blue Horizons volunteer.  Students got to know a little about each other before working together. 
Jeff Broome, featured speaker, earned his doctorate of philosophy from CU, Boulder.  He has done a considerable amount of research
on the Indian wars and has written three books on the subject.  Dr. Broome has a fourth book to his credit, as well as numerous awards for his excellent writing skills. 
Seth Harris; poet, writer, actor,musician and producer  spoke to the students in the afternoon.  He taught the students the elements of "Writing an Engaging Story".
Teachers from 5 area schools brought their finest writers.
